水瓶座的来历英语(水瓶座来历和特征)

The
Origin

Aquarius
Zodiac
Sign Aquarius
is

the
zodiac,

annually
between
January
20
and
February
18.
As
the
water
bearer,
Aquarius
symbolizes
strength
in
community,
instigator
of
change,
and
originality.
But
where
did
the
symbol
of
the
water
bearer
originate? The
story
dates
back
over
4,000
years
ago
to
ancient
Babylonian
times.
During
this
period,
the
constellation
known
as
Aquarius
was
believed
to
be
responsible
for
giving
water
to
the
crops,
as
well
as
providing
nourishment
to
the
people.
However,
it
was
not
until
the
Greeks
took
over
that
the
symbol
of
the
water
bearer
was
specifically
assigned
to
the
constellation. Greek
mythology
tells
the
story
of
Ganymede,
a
young,
beautiful
mortal
boy.
Zeus,
king
of
the
gods,
was
so
taken
with
Ganymede's
appearance
that
he
transformed
himself
into
an
eagle
and
captured
the
boy.
The
myth
goes
on
to
describe
how
Zeus
not
only
took
Ganymede
to
Mount
Olympus
as
his
personal
cupbearer
but
also
granted
him
eternal
youth
and
immortality. The
story
of
Ganymede
became
a
popular
theme
in
Greek
art
and
literature,
and
the
image
of
a
young
man
pouring
water
from
a
vase
became
associated
with
the
constellation
of
Aquarius.
Interestingly,
the
depiction
of
Aquarius
as
a
water-bearing
figure
has
since
become
an
archetypal
symbol
present
in
numerous
cultures
around
the
world. In
ancient
Mesopotamia,
for
example,
they
had
the
tradition
of
the
Gabbara,
or
the
'great
bucket-bearer.'
Meanwhile,
in
Egypt,
the
image
of
a
vase
pourer
was
associated
with
the
goddess
Heqet,
who
was
said
to
have
created
the
Nile
River.
Similarly,
the
Aztecs
had
a
deity,
Tlaloc,
who
was
considered
the
water
bearer
in
their
mythology. In
conclusion,
the
symbol
of
the
water
bearer
and
the
sign
of
Aquarius
may
have
originated
from
various
sources
and
cultures
over
the
years.
But
one
thing
remains
consistent:
the
significance
of
water
as
a
life-giving
force
and
the
importance
of
community
and
change,
all
of
which
are
linked
to
the
Aquarius
constellation
and
its
associated
zodiac
sign.
